John Kruk basically blows kisses to the Phillies 5 nights a week or however often he is on Baseball Tonight.

The key to a truly great rivalry is that both teams need to be great at the same time. Sure, once in a while you like the giant killer role ("Throw the records out when these two teams play") or hope for one shining moment against a juggernaut you've pursued for so long (see: '90s Mets-Braves).
But the Phillies are defending NL East champs and haven't necessarily taken a step back from last season. The Mets reloaded with talent and perspective and are ready to fight once more.
And we know the fans are in it. That became apparent right after Matt Cerrone at MetsBlog linked to a secret Phillies individual game presale, and ignited the Phillies' faithful to respond. From Matt P. at the 700 Level...
The time to mount up is now. If you're a member of the Facebook group that's planning to invade Shea, more power to ya, but don't forget to defend the home territory. Remember how much fun it was to watch the Mets fans hang their heads after watching sweep after sweep in 2007? This is going to be one hell of a 19-game series.
