They're 1700 on Amazon new but they have Amazon Warehouse ones in 'very good' condition, which I assume are just open boxes with 'minor cosmetic imperfection's on the back of the unit and on the tv stand. It's 1190. I think I can live with those for 500 bucks. 45 for a 1 year squaretrade warranty and it's still 450 cheaper. Anyone ever use the warehouse deal for anything?
Deal. If it's bad enough that I have to return it then they weren't accurate with their description so return shipping would be on them within 30 days. Amazon has insanely good customer service so I'm not too worried about it. Hope it works out.jamiethekiller wrote:JUburton wrote:Thinkin of pulling the trigger on a Panasonic P60ST50 60" Plasma. Bought my TV from amazon warehouse. Pretty sure it was never turned on. Loomed flawless cosmetically. Encourage everyone to buy used from amazon.

Yeah, I've got a 42" plasma from about...2009 that I'm happy with but I'm moving shortly and making the pro move of moving that one to the bedroom and upgrading the living room.
It's not so bad once you get it to stock android, but the fragmentation in the Android ecosystem is so awful. Of course getting it to stock android can be kind of tough and can brick your phone.jamiethekiller wrote:my nexus 4 is baller. feel bad for people that have an android phone and its not a nexus. also feel bad for people on contracts.
Yeah, I didn't hate Sense but it just felt...artificial? It was obvious that it was skinned on top of something else. I don't have any experience with TouchWiz, but I imagine it's more of the same. Running stock android is just infinitely better. Getting Sense/TouchWiz etc. is basically like getting a Dell and having them redo the OS. I get why manufacturers do it, but it's terrible. Sense 5.0 looks pretty good though. I know I won't be getting a new phone until I can root it and run whatever the newest stock Android is.jamiethekiller wrote:the organization is just better on a stock rom. my phone flows so much better than my friends note 2. i feel bad for him because he complains of things and i have no clue what he's talking about.
Yeah, I wouldn't think so either. The box looked pretty undamaged, but I didn't get a good look at it.Slowhand wrote:Sounds like it was damaged during shipping. No way they sell it like that.
Hmm, that makes sense. I think they're mostly repackaged so maybe they're not packaged well enough in the secondary packaging.Slowhand wrote:I handled those TVs for a few years when I worked at Best Buy, and I can tell you it doesn't take much to crack a plasma screen. All it has to do is tip over and fall, and you'd never know it by looking at the box. Also, simply laying it down can crack the screen (happens more than you'd think)

Yeah, that's the plan...get one for the same price delivered soon and see if I can manage a discount for my 'troubles'.jamiethekiller wrote:JUburton wrote:Hmm, that makes sense. Send it back and get another. I'm sure they'll bend over backwards to accommodate you since it was an amazon warehouse deal and not a third party dealer.
