Hopefully in retrospect we are going to ask ourselves “why did we still think on October 20 Trump had a decent chance of winning?”

This feels like another wave election, even bigger and better for Dems than 2008 and 2018.

I can certainly understand the self-preservation aspect of worrying that Biden's not going to ultimately win based on how 2016 turned out and new voter registrations and all the other fears mentioned in this thread, but man... I keep coming back to the fact that it's really, really hard to look at how Trump and his GOP cronies are reacting (especially over the past month) and think anything other than that their internal polling is absolutely disastrous.

To be fair, I don't think many Republicans were confident going into 2016. That being said, this is different. Trump has a record, and it's not good by any objective standard. He's not running against Hillary. Pollsters have adjusted their models (And believe me, no pollster wants to be seen underestimating R votes--If say Biden ends up winning Texas, Dems are not going to complain about "biased polling" because unlike Republicans they're not a bunch of whiny babies.)

Pollsters were wrong in 2012--they underestimated Obama's strength. The RCP average had Obama with a .7% lead, and he ended up winning by 3.9%.

So if I understand what I heard, Trump was in an interview with 60 minutes, then he abruptly bolts the session to go tweet about what a horrible person Leslie Stahl is how the show is a Democratic front to attack his accomplishments. Also apparently let Pence in the wings as he was supposed to have a joint interview segment with him. That genius is very stable.

There is a extra lol that he criticizes Stalh for not wearing a mask
