Not exactly sure what you are asking about (like what they’re saying happened in Ukraine? What happened with the laptop?) but at a base level it’s a story because trump wants it to be a story but as of now it doesn’t seem like Biden did anything wrong and so far it doesn’t seem to be moving the polls.

I had the same thoughts and didn't want to link anywhere that seemed to give it credibility. This story from cbs news filled me in with the "facts" of the case while conveying the right amount of dubiousness. About as fishy as as a tuna sandwich forgotten in a lunchbox.

FWIW, the computer repair guy had excellent reviews before he started purveying stolen information and conspiracy theories.

neither of the Bidens have denied that any of the content is real and a lot of Dems are crowing about how humanizing some of the fatherly love texts are even though they're also somehow so fake they shouldn't be allowed to be posted on social media

I think it takes a MAGA-like mindset to believe that Hunter's stint with Burisma was all on the up-and-up, but the other candidate is so much worse it doesn't matter at this point, I guess. the laptop provenance is certainly bizarre but more or less tangential

Hunter being involved with that company is for sure super shady but so far it doesn't seem like Joe himself was involved in anything particularly problematic.

Not denying something doesn't make it true. Most people haven't "denied" stupid shit Alex Jones has said over the years because responding to him at all gives him credibility.

I imagine that's the same case with this.

it is kind of funny that I often think 'this would be different any other year' but John McCain was a known fraud and no one ever cared so I guess it's just always been par for the course
