almost got t-boned by an abington school district van. i was making a left at a fork intersection (coming down the left tine, if you will) with no stop sign. the van was coming down the other tine (with a stop sign). I had my left turn signal on and started to negotiate the hairpin turn the van started too. I had to slam on my brakes and the poor doggo in the back seat was thrown into the seat in front of her. I made a 'wtf' sign and the driver yelled 'there's no left turn buddy'. Of course that is incorrect. This is the fork at the bottom of my street (I was returning from dropping the kid off at his school shuttle). I mean sometimes @#$% happens, but because of that remark I'm trying to decide whether the email the school district.

You should ask to speak to the manager.

Since many students are attending class via zoom, I've started using power point slides where I used to use the chalk board. So, writing equations on the board was pretty easy. I've always understood that MS Office products were designed with the academic/science user as an afterthought, but it never really bothered me much until now.

And, now having used power point for a few months, I am absolutely convinced Tufte was right about its evilness.

a handful of college kids were pretty hammered and playing cornhole and jamming to music last night at like 2:30 am. right in the middle of the street basically in front of my house. one girl kept trying to do an ollie on a skateboard for so long. so it was just this endless banging of a skateboard. if she ever got close they would all cheer in unison.

i called the cops on em bc fuck em. cops came and they went inside. hooray!

there's this crazy bell like curve for me with billiards and skateboarding. sober i'm ok at both, a few drinks i can kick ass, but it drops off very quickly after that. had some kid's like cballs a few units down messing around late at night, i would join them and wake up with some of the nastiest scrapes and bruises. it was bad, happy they moved before i actually broke a bone.

Me too. Not like I was really drinking that much, but I’ve essentially stopped and I feel much more mentally clear.

I liked this band in the mid-90's called Sage out of Detroit. They played a great power-pop show. they just disappeared from the scene and I forgot about them. I took a look and the reason they broke up is that the lead singer decided to become a lawyer. Heart breaking (more about missing the band then a dis at lawyers).
