I am as well. MLB and the NFL are going to end up being a disaster.

All secondary to Phillies baseball for me so I can't share the excitement.

As has been mentioned quite a bit here, Rex Parker's crossword blog is usually way too grumpy, but I do appreciate when he recounts struggles identical to mine. I made all the same mistakes in today's crossword that he mentions here:

[Reveal] Spoiler:
I had four wrong answers (at various points) *in the NW corner alone*. LEGOS not ATOMS (1A: Small building blocks). SIM not ATM (1D: ___ card). BEEP not TOOT (2D: Friendly honk). OUCH not OWOW (3D: "I'm in pain! I'm in pain!") (!?)
These guys need a little bit more lead in their diet.

I've been getting allergy shots for 8 years. Got tested yesterday. The big ones are still dust mites, ragweed, birch, cats, pecans, pistachios, walnuts and cashews. Cashews are the worst by far.

Really random... the youngest (7), who now shares my office space with me due to distance learning management, is completely mesmerized by spiffyrob's avatar. He has many questions.

forgot who the tire king here is...

want something quiet and to absorb some bounces. it's a damn prius, not hitting triple digits or entering it in some grand prix. probably not going off road either.

Visit TireRack and search for reviews from other Prius owners.

Off the top of my head a Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 might be a decent pick. They came out with a Turanza QuietTrack but after I left so I can't share an opinion.

Everyone makes both good and not-so-good tires.

I just put Generals on my Escape and so far they're not much of a downgrade from the Pirellis I replaced. I hate the first few miles on new tires so I try to form an opinion slowly.

Most Michelins are very good tires. It's just matching the model to the application.

az when you say quiet do you mean tread generated road noise or noise isolation from bumps, tar strips, etc.?

I checked and General does make the Altimax RT43 in Prius sizes. Not sure they'll meet your "quiet" requirement on a Prius.

For a more value conscious choice a Toyo Extensa might work for you.

Our credit union called to offer us a refi on our 0% interest loan
Finance people have no sense of humor when I asked questions like: 'how much they would pay me to take the CU's money and will it be all at once or do I get a monthly installment'
The guy got all huffy and said 'that's not how it works!'
I said that 'it sure as hell had to since I am paying 0%'

What a weird conversation, but I needed a little entertainment.

I thin AZ is planning a Vehicular Homicide with an eco twist wanting that quiet car to be just a little quieter
