traderdave wrote:“So he [Trump] was using my tweet as the voice for a lot of us on our side or a lot of us, you know, on any side, who really believes we don’t have the full story,” Woolery said. “I am confused, Mark. I am confused about COVID-19, as I think every other American is confused about it, and we have every right to be confused about it because we have been lied to over and over. He then reconsidered his choice of the word “lie” and said Americans have been “misled".”

Woolery conveniently leaves out that it is/was his boy that has done/did most of the lying and misleading. Americans are confused about COVID-19 (if, in fact, they are) because of Trump's (and other GOP) refusal to take the matter seriously and lead. It is truly amazing blinded Trump supporters are. I think you had the same thing with some Obama supporters, where he could do no wrong with some people, but not even close to the level that Trump supporters believe and trust everything the man says/does.

This was Trump's 9/11. He would have guaranteed himself another four years if he had treated this like the real problem it is and showed any kind of leadership, compassion, empathy. But, thankfully for non-Trumpees, he fucked it all up.

I’d say a lot of the somewhat irrational Obama defense came from people thinking he wanted to do the right thing (at least in the context of being a democrat) but he had to deal with an extremely obstructionist congress who wanted him to fail.

Whereas now you have most of congress wanting to do the “right” thing to various degrees but trump, who basically won the election with basically no cogent political positions beyond racism and saying democrats are screwing things up, now feels like he has to disagree with them on principle.

Lol. I mean, if you weren't paying close attention to the geographic distribution of your interviews within a state already what were you doing? People in Philadelphia vote differently than people in York County? No shit!

This is a both and, not an either or.

Maybe it's a way to deal with the exchange problem--that is, with cell phones the exchange (and the area code) have little to do with where you live.

Overnight fire at Arizona Democratic Party headquarters set on purpose, police say

https://www.azfamily.com/news/overnight-fire-at-arizona-democratic-party-headquarters-set-on-purpose-police-say/article_7f11b9b0-cda5-11ea-b484-9bd2b421c56f.html

this shit has really got to stop. the doxxing, the name calling, the fires, the intimidation, the violence... we are not a third would country. i demand that every single republican from the local to federal level literally speaks out against this action and the individuals involved. there is no place for this, no winks or lame excuses, it's time for these politicians and parties to take responsibility for this stuff. all of it. time to call for an end of this, hold hands and sometimes learn it's okay to agree to disagree and compromise. lead and set an example for the people. both sides are really pathetic tho.

Here's something pretty cool: In one week, Mary Trump's book "Too Much and Never Enough" sold more hardcover copies than "The Art of the Deal" has in the 33 years since it was published.

How do we rein in Sinclair Broadcasting? They're running a piece with Judy Mikovits on America This Week accusing Fauci of manufacturing, funding and shipping the virus to Wuhan.

The follow up is the old theory that the outbreak escaped from a lab.

They’re making it seem like the point of running the segment is to refute it?

That's not how humans will process it though. They'll see and believe the video, and ignore its refutation.

I didn't take it that way but wouldn't be the first time I missed a point. If there is a refutation it's not a very strong one.

It's irresponsible to broadcast a known falsehood, especially during a crisis.

There's like 4 or 5 groups/people I see regularly that would make great commercials. Guess there's just not enough $

And now we learn this fun fact...
But in early June, at the height of protest activity, Philadelphia officials were on a different tack. Their request for National Guard troops was well-documented, but the city was also quietly requesting support from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

They wanted the agency to provide “aerial surveillance” and “operational support” during civil unrest, according to a document drafted by CBP in response to questions from U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris.
