Good lord if we do THAT he will do something totally unaccountable, like declare war on and fire nukes at elephants.

This was a really good read, highly recommend. However, can we really go as far as to say:
Still, it will be a tall order for the Democrats to defeat the president in Pennsylvania. He has carried the state once already and has cultivated it since then.

The map shows how NEPA played into Trump's win in 2016 with all of the Obama>Obama>Trump there, and there will absolutely be a groundswell to vote for Biden considering how fiercely provincial that region is.

Then you look at Chesco with "tied in any year" and factor in how many people who maybe voted with "eh, I'll vote R even if I don't like Trump, how bad can he possibly be" who now have the track record to answer that question. Maybe they still vote R, but I would have to think less will with that hypothetical now being a reality worse than they'd imagined.

Could be wishful thinking, idk

A new poll this morning has Biden up two points in Missouri..Missouri?!?

Do I think Biden will win there, hell no. But this just shows again how much trouble Trump is in, in my opinion.

I keep hearing how it's still a lot of time left. I honestly think there really isn't. Between the time things slow down for convention time plus the debates, there really isn't that much time left, let alone for a traditional campaign, which this one won't be.

Only two SCOTUS opinions today. We're not going to get to the Deutsche case for a few more weeks it seems like.

Looks like McGrath is going to win the honor to lose to Mitch McConnell over Booker.

One of the pros of McGrath was the amount of money her campaign had to spend which could draw some funds/attention to the state. I don't know if that's still true after Booker's late surge made the primary competitive.

I was thinking about this the other day...if this was a normal summer, we would be in the thick of the baseball season. Baseball season feels long but isn't. The Phils won the WS on October 31. Election Day is only 3 days after that.

It doesn't mean anything but it gave me some perspective as to how soon the election actually is.

Don't think she can beat Mitch, but still think she may get more votes than Booker would have in that state. There may be some independents or GOP in that state that respect McGrath for her military service and are just tired of Mitch.

What is Trump's love affair with the word hoax? At what point does a normal person ask "how is everything a hoax?"

The question isn't at what point a "normal" person asks this, but at what point his supporters ask this.

Many people (around 35% of the country, I would guess) are not interested in listening to a source that criticizes the President. Because if they are critical of the President, that betrays their bias. And you can't trust a biased source. This holds true even if the source appeared to be unbiased before levying the criticism of the President. Actually, that latter case is the most biased of all sources, because they are probably trying to get famous (or a book deal) through the criticism itself. Very dishonorable.

I was thinking about a related topic today. If a conservative was constructing the dream person to corroborate this stuff, what would his or her credentials be? And then if this person came forward with info, would that person be believed?

Long, distinguished military career in the marines
Devout Christian
Appointee of either Reagan, Bush, or Trump
Endorsed by Trump, and worked with him for years in a senior leadership position
Not writing a book

If this person thought that Trump was a danger to the US, would you listen, Jamiethekiller?

I forgot to add... they should probably have a cool nickname, like Mad Dog.

Maybe add in their Snellen Chart rating so people know their vision is clear. Who could reject Mad Dog 20/20?

President Donald Trump set off a "five-alarm fire" in the White House on Sunday morning after he retweeted a video of one of his supporters saying "white power," according to two White House officials.

The video remained on the president's Twitter page, where he has 82 million followers, for more than three hours because White House officials couldn't reach him to ask him to delete it, the two officials said. The president was at his golf club in Virginia and had put his phone down, the officials said.

"the nation is under attack!"
"sorry, he's only on the fourth hole. call back in three hours.

certainly. just highlighting how disconcerting is it that they couldn't reach the president of the united states for three hours because he was golfing.
