And in many ways those leaks would not serve the national interest. And really in no previous administration would this have been a concern because the people that worked in it would've believed in what they were doing and in the president generally. I don't mean the illegal dealing stuff, but the run of the mill stupidity that flows in his calls that leaked early in the admin when more people had access. You see it in that WaPo story tonight - a lot of that shit isn't wrong, it's just super fucking stupid.

But then there's the very bad stuff he says on top of the very dumb stuff he says and if they're trying to hide the bad stuff where he's essentially selling out the country or leveraging the power of the federal government to target domestic political rivals that ends up being problematic.

The original sin is we shouldn't have nominated a complete idiot and the country shouldn't have elected a complete idiot and it sort of spirals from there.
