There’s one thing I don’t get about the binary “impeachment with a conviction is a win and impeachment without is a loss” mentality. If they impeach and a ton of bad info comes out about Trump to the point where the masses (outside of the fully brainwashed crowd) realize that he’s a dishonest piece of shit selling out the country, won’t that hurt him and every senator who votes to acquit him in 2020?

I think he and his administration are brazen with their disregard for laws and ethics and any discovery that this impeachment allows for would unearth a trove of shit that should/would hurt him in the public eye.

And Republicans will love him too because he isn't Trump, and go out of there way to support him more than they do Trump.

The more I think about it, the more I think impeachment hurts the GOP in 2020, regardless of outcome. An uninformed voter will see that are actual debates about whether the President is currently selling out the American people. That can't be good.
