Trump is 2cm from bringing up Hunter's past drug problem. He brought up the Navy administrative discharge framed as "thrown out". This issue has not been a secret in any form, and Hunter has taken public responsibility for his action, and publicly apologize. I know ther eis a cognitive disconnect between accountability and apology with Trump, but this is just disgusting. This attack angle will not resonate with either the opiod/drug problem or his own brother's struggle and ultimate death.

It's funny how much of what is going on now kind of touches on my dissertation area, which was about England and various typologies for modeling the authority of the monarch, one of which was the so-called "King's Two Bodies" theory, which itself derives from the concept of corporation sole, and which was invented to deal with, among other items, the problem of parsing out and what to do with the property and real estate held by the individual person of the monarch as a private citizen, versus what was held by the Crown, but still as expressed in the individual person of the monarch.

How does this all relate to John Milton's Paradise Regained? Maybe some day I will finish that dissertation and I'll know!

The deal with Lindsey Graham is clear: in truth, he hates President Trump. But the (white) people of South Carolina fucking LOVE them some Trump. Therefore, Lindsey Graham "likes" President Trump, and for a while has had to do so publicly, to prevent himself from being primaried as punishment for his heterodoxy during the Trump campaign. Because as much as he may dislike President Trump, he LOVES being senator.

Bottom line: Graham doesn't bother me much, because I know what he really thinks of Trump, but he can't say it; because if he did, someone who really liked Trump would primary him, win, and you'd have yet another irredeemable asshole in the senate.

Your either going to have a senator from South Carolina who supports the President 99% of the time but privately despises him, and will be happy to jump ship just as soon as there is a political headwind that allows it, or a senator who is totally on board with Trump. There are no other choices. Given the two, I take the former.
