Maybe they meant the original freemason.

Declaration of Independence is not the Bible. It's a statement of enlightenment humanism, with reference to a creator (not God) reflected its deism.

In addition to Florida - South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated. Looking like one of the largest hurricanes ever. Already category 5. BE CAREFUL! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!

Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian. We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane #Dorian will be felt across Alabama. The system will remain too far east. #alwx

“the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them”
The point being, as JH alluded to, that the most fundamental rights of our form of government are bestowed upon us by a Creator/God (a distinction without a difference in this context) and it is the purpose of government to “secure these rights.” So, a reference by a Republican Congressman to “God-given right” does not represent some fringe view but is, in fact, quite a mainstream idea for our country and it’s government.
As uncomfortable as some of us may be (and I include myself in that number) with the notion of God in our government, we are wise to tread carefully on the subject. Without certain rights being bestowed upon us by a Higher Power and being, therefore, “unalienable” we would be left with our fundamental rights being determined and conferred upon us — or taken away — by other humans. You can decide yourself which is the more reliable source of our most fundamental rights.

Our Meteorologist in Chief added this nugget:
"We don't even know what's coming at us. All we know is it's possibly the biggest. I have -- I'm not sure that I've ever even heard of a Category 5. I knew it existed. And I've seen some Category 4's -- you don't even see them that much," Trump said at a briefing with officials at FEMA's headquarters in Washington, DC. But a Category 5 is something that -- I don't know that I've ever even heard the term other than I know it's there. That's the ultimate, and that's what we have unfortunately," he added, in reference to Hurricane Dorian.
September 2017 - Hurricanes Irma and Maria
October 2018 - Hurricane Michael
August-September 2019 - Hurricane Dorian
