Does anyone really foresee Trump being competitive against Biden in any of those four states? He lost VA and won the other three by razor thin margins against Hillary.

Every one of those states except for Virginia is whiter than average AND older than average, and to working class whites and baby boomer whites, Donald Trump is their Obama, as I keep trying to explain to people. He excites them, he energizes them, they love him. A larger turnout in the 2020 election is, tellingly, not a guarantee of Democratic success, which breaks from trend:

Eh, not seeing it obviously. Biden will beat Trump. Turnout was shit all the way around in 2016. Dems will be energized to curb stomp Trump and save RBG's seat.

He's not getting it together. He's not a good candidate. He's never been a good candidate, and with the effects of age and the fatigue of a grueling campaign schedule setting in, he's going to get worse.

Epstein was in federal custody. Therefore, ultimately Barr and trump were responsible. Our media if course is instead going to be conspiracy curious, and will likely omit or deemphasize that fact.

excellent article about all the reasons the acting BLM needs to go

I am sure I've complained about him before. TL;DL is that this guy hates public lands, and for years worked for an organization that's sole purpose was to try to purchase or long term said public lands to strip mine, drill, etc. Overall philosophy is that a quick buck to the fed at a discount for buying in bulk makes companies stronger. Perfect guy to protect and steward the nation's assets.

Trump’s businesses rely heavily on documented foreign laborers as well. As Vox’s Alexia Fernández Campbell reported, the Trump Organization makes use of the US’ H-2B visa program. Campbell found that only one out of 144 jobs available at Trump properties during 2016 and 2017 went to an American worker.

Goes on to say that while reducing the H1B visa program for skilled foreign workers, the H2B program for seasonal employees at hotels and restaurants was expanded, and the Trump Org made no real effort to recruit US citizens in favor of cheaper foreign options.

A lot of this upshot stuff is sort of funny coming from the producers of THE NEEDLE who gave trump like an 8% chance day of.

I don't accept the bolded as universal truth based on my experience. When I narrow it down to immediate family (about as white working class as you can find), composed of 1 late-great-depression senior, 2 boomers and 1 early gen Xer, it's 3 to 1. And the 3 are as anti-Trump as the 1 is pro-Trump. The senior may be the most ardent and is frequently cautioned not to repeat certain thoughts in public for fear of a SS visit.

Keep hoping but Warren's chances at the nomination look better every day.

Think he is saying keep your hopes up BUT Biden looks like he is going to be overtaken by Warren so we may not make that mistake.

I hope that's what he's saying. I read it as 'well keep hoping but [unfortunately] it looks like Warren might be it [and that is bad]' despite Warren and Hillary having really one major, unimportant when it comes to governing, thing in common.

If I read it wrong, I apologize!
