Epstein stuff is horrific.

I hope whoever even sniffed participation in what he was doing is arrested and jailed-- Clinton, Trump, Menendez, etc

Don't hold your breath...

Berman: Do you anticipate that there may be other defendants in this proceeding?

Rossmiller: We don't expect any imminent superseding indictments in this case.

I've read pretty extensively about the Epstein case. I was down at the shore last year and looking for a book to read and bought James Patterson's book Filth Rich which documents the entire case. The DOJ clearly had enough to put him away for the rest of his life when he was arrested in Florida but gave him basically a slap on the wrist. Acosta certainly is not innocent in any way, shape or form in this mess considering he was the prosecutor, but Patterson clearly hinted at if not outright said the orders to give Epstein a sweetheart deal came from above. Last year a FOIA revealed he was giving information to the FBI (possibly an informant?) which many assume factored into the deal.

It will probably be hard to charge others as most of the crimes would have gone down on "Pedophile Island". Epstein would have to give them up and then they'd have to track down the victims which would probably be almost impossible. Not sure what the jurisdiction situation is as I believe Epstein owns the island. Even so, I'm sure those who took trips with Epstein to the island (Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Dershowitz, Ken Starr) aren't feeling real good today.

Wouldn't get your hopes up on anything happening with Trump. Patterson's book said Trump banned Epstein from Mar A Lago when he saw him there with a younger girl. Biggest hit he'd take is for hiring Acosta IMO. Trump has openly bragged about Epstein being trouble for some of his rivals.

An appeals court said Tuesday President Donald Trump cannot legally block users on Twitter. The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a New York judge's ruling and found that Trump "engaged in unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination by utilizing Twitter's 'blocking' function to limit certain users' access to his social media account, which is otherwise open to the public at large, because he disagrees with their speech."

"We hold that he engaged in such discrimination," the ruling adds.

The judges on the appeals court concluded that "the First Amendment does not permit a public official who utilizes a social media account for all manner of official purposes to exclude persons from an otherwise-open online dialogue because they expressed views with which the official disagrees."

So much winning.

"The women are not helping their case by their behavior," Jesse Watters said Monday on Fox News' "The Five." "If you go out and you disparage the president, you act in unpatriotic ways and then complain about not getting paid equally, well, what do you think is going to happen? People are not going to watch," Watters said.

Watters claimed their criticism of President Trump led to lower ratings and said he talked to "...many, many people this weekend who said, 'I love soccer, I'm not watching the U.S. women because I didn't like what they said.'"

First of all, I have no clue what one thing has to do with the other. Second, it sounds like something out of China or North Korea. Finally, somebody should remind Watters (and a few other Fox nutjobs) that questioning our elected leaders is among the most patriotic things we can do.

EDIT - Just in case its not obvious, he is talking about the USWNT.

The biggest mystery around Epstein is actually what he does for a living to make him rich.

My MIL said to my 7 year old kid that the captain of the US Women's team was a bad sport (presumably because she once kneeled before a flag instead of an altar, but possibly because she has criticized the President). That conversation was fun.

Reminds me of when my grandmother told me circa 1990 that President Bush the First was a "great man" because he was going to reverse Row v. Wade.

Someone needs to fill that void.

I saw a thing on facebook that suggested that he may have used his pedophile island for blackmail. As all his friends were very rich to start with he could have made a lot this way. Speculation obviously but it seems plausible at least.

You mean the conversation with your MIL that went, "Ever spew your bullshit to my kid again, you won't see him/her any more"? That conversation?
