The Virginia Lt. Gov thing is a mess. What becomes of the legal wrangling? Where I agree that she needs to be heard, the questions about where and how are wide open. The report of a crime is in Massachusetts versus an unfolding situation predicated on this scenario based on his role as a Virginia state politician. Where and how does this get resolved, and what is resolution? I am not sure that there are good answers for this, especially given that I think Massachusetts already has its documented position.

Jason Marques, a postal worker, pizza delivery driver and student in Massachusetts who said that, since his income didn’t change, he was expecting a similar refund to the roughly $6,000 he got last year — money he said would go towards his student loans or paying off credit card debt.

Marques said he was hurt by the cap on student loan interest deduction and the elimination of non-reimbursed business expenses, which he used to deduct the out-of-pocket costs he incurred as a delivery driver. “My jaw hit the floor,” he said, when he learned his 2018 refund would be under $500.

McAuliffe is a major douche. I attended a Q&A session he held at my college in 2004. He and the president of College Republicans got into a very nasty argument. Totally unprofessional on his part as the head of the DNC at the time.

15 years later and it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The allegations against lieutenant governor certainly merit investigation. As I’ve said I’m not quite sure how one investigate these except for some type of state focused hearing, given that both are from out of state. I’m not sure what circumstances of the Massachusetts investigation was, I assume that there was a investigation at the time. And the new allegation is from 19 years ago, with its primary evidence that has been made public being an email from a few years ago. That also was in North Carolina, putting the onus on that state to do some form of investigation.

So where this is all abhorrent, The only type of investigation seems to be is in the press at the moment. Due process has to take place, if it has not already. I know that impeachment is a political disposition, but does the statement confirm high crimes and misdemeanors without a formal investigation? If there is there is there, then he should not only lose his position as a lieutenant governor, but he should probably be doing jail time somewhere.
