The mother of a boy filmed harassing a Native American man along with his friends at a rally in Washington DChas blamed “black Muslims” for the confrontation, without providing any evidence for the claim.

Separate video shared online showed a group of black men standing near the scene of the confrontation, arguing with the MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporters. It is unclear to which religious group the men belonged, but they could be heard quoting passages from the Old Testament of the Bible.

OK then, those lads were clearly on the right side of this equation.

But there were black people there!

Called it totally normal. This is not normal.

Their plan is to slowly change their story until he's allowed to do whatever the hell he wants because he's the president. I don't think Rudy is an idiot (well, maybe, but I don't think this is evidence of it). He's following a script to slowly change was is normal and accepted. You can't go straight from NO COLLUSION AND NO OBSTRUCTION to doing both as if they are normal. It has to be slowly walked back. We're all frogs in a pot of slowly heating water. Most of us are smart enough to jump out of the water, but his base is so invested that they believe the water is fine. We have to hope that reality hits them at some point and they jump out as well. Otherwise, this is crisis is going to get much worse.

I think rudy was involved with much of this stuff from the beginning. He was certainly involved in the turkey stuff(ing). And the turkey stuff and the russia stuff is pretty connected.

Rudy definitely knew...I always think of that time during the campaign when Rudy sat on FOX NEWS during the Hannity show and talked about "something big" coming...

He also went a bit nuts and had to be pulled from a case about something related to the Turkey/Flynn mess. Rudy is definitely involved in the whole russia/Turkey nexus.

The FBI found abedin's laptop about then, but there was nothing out of wikileaks the week before the election.

As always there’s more to the story with the video of the incident around they indigenous peoples celebration. There’s a longer video about an hour or so which I’ve only seen descriptions of. It doesn’t really get much better, just longer. The black Israelis are rallying, and they take some exception to the Maga hat folks, and the kids apparently disappear for a little bit, and then they come back and get into the mix of things. Something about a kid ripping his shirt off and chanting and dancing around, which were supposed to be school spirit, and then the show down where the drum player put himself between the protesters and the maga guys, leading up to the kid in the viral video getting up in the other gentleman‘s face and blocking his way. At that point the report slides on over to basically what you know from the viral video with the Catholic kids chanting build the wall and marking what the Native Americans are doing, and basically being super aggressive.

There certainly was some dust up between the black Israelis in the Catholic school kids, but they left and got permission then came back in force to pull off what only looks like harassment. Extraordinarily poor judgment. I saw some headline associated with Fox that I did not follow up, but it certainly made it sound like they were lining the kid up to be a hero for getting in the face of the elderly gentleman.

Hey but there’s more to the story, is not a good more to this story.

Not sure where the truth lies in this one. The mom is indeed wrong with the Muslim part...the men apparently self-identified as members of "The Hebrew Israelites" which at least better explains their use of the OT. CNN's video and article does seem to tell quite a different story than what was first presented.

The only part of the statement that isn’t a lie is the part where the chaperones failed these kids (and separately their parents).

The chaperones and teachers should have moved them on regardless. If there was danger, then there is a nice view of the Potomac near by. Why would it be a quality choice to go show some good old school spirit?

Kamala Harris declared. There are 6 announced Dems going to an MLK event (not Harris) who are exploring options. It seems wrong to make these events political.

Really not that easy since the students left, hatched a plan with the approval of the adults and returned to show some school spirit. Bad people on both sides has been a weak argument. Had the students simply moved on there would be no issue or incident with the indigenous peoples participants trying to keep some peace. Heck if the viral video was of the Black Israelites harassing the students this would be a whole different situation.
