Trying to close out the 2018 reality show with huge rating. DJT indicating that he might not sign the CR, closing the Government.

There is this feed back loop that he would not be able to leave DC for his vacation if he does not sign. I don't necessarily track that, but it would be a good outcome if he is so ridiculous.

Trump knows he is never getting his wall. He never actually wanted a wall. He uses his demands as red meat for the MAGAs and to try to deflect from the fact that the stock market and his presidency are simultaneously collapsing.

2019 will go down as one of the most consequential years in this country's history.

Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride with, I suspect, a crash landing.

The situation in Syria is a quagmire with no easy resolution and no resolution at all in sight. But as impossible as the situation may be it does not mean we don’t have genuine interests there which need to be safeguarded by all means possible, including diplomacy and a military presence. The fact that Putin is applauding the US decision to pull out is reason enough to know that withdrawal is against our interests.

You know, when people are all shocked about how things like this turn out to be scams (I know it makes me a bad person, but I have a hard time feeling bad for people who gave money to be educated by an entity known as "Trump University") what I'm shocked by is how easy it is to scam right wingers.

I'm waiting for Mexico to rebate the $5B of the $5.3B the US is sending in aid to change the circumstances of would be caravan participants. The outcome would be that the wall is paid for by Mexico with the funds the US sent while simultaneously putting the country in good graces with the administration and changing the circumstances of migrants by putting up a big wall. It would also fulfill the validity that the US would access other department funds to get it done.

It sure seems like we're leaving Syria to help Russia, but don't forget the Turks also have a stake there and would love to see the Kurds crushed. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that he's doing this right after Flynn admitted in court that the Turks payed him off. There's a lot going on with the Turk/ Saudi/ Russian nexus. Trump is most likely being blackmailed by all three and all three benefit from us being out of there.

Trump also is floating the idea of lifting sanctions on the Russian aluminum magnate, Putin's pal. Putin is cashing in his chips before the dems take control.

Seriously, Trump is a russian asset. There's no doubt about it. The only question is his degree of willingness.
