What's the official definition of a Jew?
One of the basic tenets of Judaism is the belief that the messiah has not yet arrived.
Messianic Jews believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and that the New Testament is the authoritative scripture. Salvation in Messianic Judaism is achieved only through acceptance of Jesus as one's savior and Jewish laws or customs which are followed do not contribute to salvation.
Are you talking about Judaism or the historic accepted definition(s) of who is a Jew? These are not the same. I think you're choosing an incredibly narrow and not at all widely accepted definition.
Granted, I agree with the idiocy of the choice in the context of the earlier discussion.
What the fuck are you talking about?
I would love to hear what you think would be the "historic accepted definition(s) of who is a Jew" that isn't "one who follows the tenets of Judaism" (or something similar).
