most of PA uses old machines with no paper trail but it hasn't been much of a real issue. The issue is access to the ballot, not the ballot itself. stop fear mongering this when there is something VERY REAL we can work on that is actually happening.
I'm not fear mongering. I'm genuinely concerned about it, and I'm not suggesting we don''t do the other things to help. I'm capable of multi-tasking.
I think they have a HUGE incentive to cheat in whatever way they think they can get away with. People are literally going to go to jail in this administration if and when the dems win the House. They have shown zero pause in stepping over every line if it helps them to win and stay in power. There is also evidence that these machines are very easy to hack and we know that there are sophisticated groups from Russia that have already hacked into our voting apparatus. I have to ask why you are not afraid of it happening? The alarm should be raised so we can be proactive on election day rather than reactive if something happens.
In any case, having paper trails for election results is one of the first things dems should do if and when they regain power. Making sure this is in people's minds is not fear mongering, imho.
