The Golan Heights is part of Syria like the Black Hills are part of the Great Sioux Reservation.

@realDonaldTrump We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents...

This is getting scary...open rhetoric about getting rid of due process...not like it’s a cornerstone of our democratic process or anything.

Immigration is something that resonates with republicans. All republicans.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

30% of our country likes this authoritarian crap. The rest of the country needs to get rid of this crap by voting out anyone associated.

Are we talking practical reality or in legal theory? Because I feel like what happened there - and I think I am just following SC logic here - is that the hills were taken illegally, but by the time that was established, they had already been settled by U.S. citizens, and so the government was ordered to pay for them. So basically, yeah, the hills really were pretty much stolen, meaning the U.S. government later recognized that they belonged to the Sioux in a theoretical sense, but too late to do anything about it in a practical one.

A lot of that has to do with the passage of time. It's hardly "too late" to return the Crimea to Ukraine, if anyone is interested in doing anything like the right thing.

If in 1948 the Arabs had accepted the UN resolution establishing Israel as a state the land they now dispute (including the Golan Heights) would be theirs. Instead they instigated war after war of aggression and, in the process, lost territory to the Israelis. If the Arabs had been successful in their stated attempts to destroy the State of Israel and throw the Jews into the sea, you can rest assured they would not now be appealing to the UN to reestablish the borders set by that body in 1948.

By the way, how do you think the US government would respond if Mexico were shooting rockets and sending suicide bombers into the US because they believed the southwestern US really belonged to them?

The world is a harsh place and many current Day borders are the result of wars, especially wars of conquest. Israel’s territorial gains are the result of wars of self defense.

'the Arabs' are full of different governments and peoples who are and aren't aligned with the government of Israel.

and in this case Israel was the one shooting a rocket. it's unclear to me why you thought otherwise considering I posted the entire AP piece earlier up thread.

territorial gains

self defense

I am curious about the "drone" because a patriot is gigantic compared to most drones. A pred B/ER is 27 feet long and 3800#, A patriot is 19 feet and 1500#.

One of these is meant to explode.

known Arab outlet Haaretz:
The incident comes after the Syrian army and allied forces pounded rebel-held areas in the strategic region bordering Jordan and the Golan Heights. Thousands of civilians have fled to safer opposition areas along the border with Jordan and Israel, aid workers and rebels said.

The bombings were supported by Russian aircraft, marking the first time in a while that Russian aircraft attacked targets so vigorously in southern Syria. Aa a result, it is likely that the Israeli side of the border will likely remain particularly alert.

The Syrian army's offensive threatens to wreck a de-escalation zone agreed by the United States and Russia last year and risks drawing Washington deeper into the war. Israel and Russia agreed in the fall of 2015 on a mechanism to prevent friction in the skies over Syria. A short time later, Russia sent two squadrons of combat planes to assist the Assad regime against the rebels.

Shall we start counting rockets launched, wars started and terrorist suicide bombers? I’d say you had lost the larger perspective due to one incident but it’s unclear you had the larger perspective to begin with.

Israel is far from perfect. But any comparison with the wars started by the Arabs (who were very much united against Israel at war time) and the horrors committed by Arabs is asinine.

And contrary to your meaningless generalization, territorial gains are very much a part of self defence when your enemies have launched thousands of short-range rockets at your country.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

.@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous “hair show” with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have “humanized” me-he is taking heat. He called & said “monster ratings.” Be a man Jimmy!

Way to focus on the important things, Mr. President.

Well, fatso golfed today. 98 trips where he likely played, 56 confirmed to Obama's 'all he ever does' 40 in the same period. So likely twice as much versus the transparent Obama WH that said he played 40 times.

Missed this:

Trump on the number of Americans who have been killed by "illegal aliens" since 9/11: "63,000. That number that they say is very low because things aren't reported. 63,000. You don't hear about that."

Of course it is not even vaguely true

An Arizona pharmacist at Walgreens denied filling a prescription of personal belief grounds.

Arizona is one of six states that specifically allow pharmacies or pharmacists to refuse to fill a prescription based on religious or moral reasons.

The law does not require them to refer the patient to another pharmacist or transfer the prescription to another location.

Over 10% of the states allow this. That's pretty scary.

Previously New Mexico Walgreens refused to fill birth control prescriptions for several customers.
