Kagan took the next case, which means Alito or RGB can still have a case today (both of whom may write Janus)

Next case was taken by Thomas, but it's not the last one meaning we have either another Thomas, or Kennedy or Roberts (under normal announcement procedures)

So the final decision today is Carpenter, delivered by Chief Justice Roberts.. it's a 4th Amendment case

Missed this EO: A new policy that depicts the world’s oceans as a resource ripe for expanded business opportunities, over emphasis on protecting "vulnerable" marine environments.

“From sea to shining sea,” Trump said in a statement, “Americans benefit from the ocean’s bounty — from the industries it supports and the jobs it creates.”

Carpenter wins. I can't even believe that this is the government's assertion.

Because the caller’s information was voluntarily transmitted to a third party — the telephone company — the caller had no reasonable expectation that the numbers called would remain private.

They use this for getting bank records with only a subpoena and not a warrant and it works.

Still, a good victory for the 4th amendment today.

Trump’s decision to order the creation of The Space Force (tm) is because he is frustrated that the Pentagon did not jump into action when it first fell out of his mouth in March.

He so wants to be king.

Janus is a done deal, it was bought and paid for ages ago.

The only thing is I could see Roberts writing the opinion instead of Alito because Alito's writing in Harris v. Quinn was something less than dispassionate in its begging for someone to come challenge Abood, to the point that it's kind of embarrassing how not impartial he clearly was and how much his mind was made up waaay ahead of time, and maybe Roberts wouldn't want to allow, therefore, an opinion written by Alito on this subject to be an opinion that defines his court.

But either way they win.

Vile MFer going with separated permanently to shill the families he corralled to demonstrate illegals are bad murders. Its horrific to put those families through that. It is not sympathetic at all even though they think presidential vengeance might be therapeutic, they will feel nothing better for being a prop.

Sarah Sanders was refused service at the Red Hen in Lexington, Va last night. The owner ask her and 7 of her family members to leave the establishment. What was she doing all the way down there? Overnighting at the Robert E. Lee?

the thing about this is Golan Heights is actually Syrian territory, not Israeli territory:
JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says it fired a Patriot missile at an unmanned aircraft that approached its airspace near the Syrian frontier in the Golan Heights.

The army said Sunday that the missile did not hit the drone, and the aircraft "retreated from the border."

It was not immediately clear who launched the drone, but in February Israel shot down what it said was an Iranian drone that entered its airspace. It bombed Iranian targets in Syria in response.

Syrian troops have launched an offensive against rebel forces in southwestern Syria, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Israel has expressed concerns about Iranian troops supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces, and says it will not allow a permanent Iranian military presence in Syria.
