The women who made the non consensual allegations against Clinton were pretty effectively smeared and discredited. Even the Monica Lewinsky was dealt with as an issue of infidelity. There was little, if any attention to the fact that there were all kinds of reasons that what Clinton did was wrong. I imagine a big part of that was powerful men having sex with young women is widespread in dc and no one in either party or in the media wanted to have (or wants to have) that become public.
