Companies like Pfizer have like 80 billion dollars in the bank. They should be employing everybody!

Supply side economics makes perfect sense. If you just make more things, people will want those things cause they'll be like damn i see those things so much i have to have them. The supply creates the demand! everyone wins!

This tax bill is a travesty and it's going to pass the House.

NC women focus group shows buyers remorse with Trump, but it will also infuriate you to read some of the stupidity on display.

I’ve been surprised that a billionaire would behave the way he has …

(she) remains hopeful that Congress will soon pass tax cuts, but she’s nervous that they’ll take away the deduction for charitable donations. She’s also worried that, if her health insurance rates continue to go up, she won’t be able to afford to go see the doctor any more.

the house is a goddamn shitshow.

i still have hope it isn't passing the senate. between the deficit people and murkowski/collins, it shouldn't.

Its put up or shut up time in the Senate showdown round. Unfortunately McConnell is not behaving like the Senate are the adults.

Johnson's a no and hopefully Collins will be, too. We need one more.

It's in the other thread, and he needs to resign. The story with the kissing/acting was gross, but the photo is beyond the pale.

It's sad to think 20ish years ago we were not at a place to have this catharsis around President Clinton. It is great in a sad way to see it though, and hopefully it's not a flash in the pan and actually results in positive change for once. Then again, we do have a current assaulter in the White House.

he may not be touching her but it doesn't matter given the kissing story. just wonder if he'll try to deny groping or just own up and resign.

As I recall, the discoursebaround Clinton had more to do with his infidelity and not so much with the harassment angle. The women who made the non consensual allegations against Clinton were pretty effectively smeared and discredited. Even the Monica Lewinsky was dealt with as an issue of infidelity. There was little, if any attention to the fact that there were all kinds of reasons that what Clinton did was wrong. I imagine a big part of that was powerful men having sex with young women is widespread in dc and no one in either party or in the media wanted to have (or wants to have) that become public.

Not to be cold, but politically this could be a win for Democrats and the Believe the Women movement. Franken resigns fully contrite, the Governor of Minnesota (a Democrat) appoints his replacement, and the nation takes another step towards solving this disgusting problem.

the Broaddrick allegations look pretty truthful; the rest of it IDK. Trump/Bannon using it against HRC made lots of people (including myself) doubt the validity.

I imagine lots of this is because 16 year ago our society was much more male-dominant and sucked more so women largely weren't believed.

This is all a good thing for the stuff to come out.
