Each kid is different, but I think most people find 3 yo worse than 2 yo. 5 year olds are usually pretty cool, and they stay cool until they're 9 or 10. From there it's downhill for awhile. They will hopefully start to pull of being total demon shitheads around 14 or so, but there will still be periods of shitty attitude. The hope is that those periods get more and more infrequent. However, once they start driving, you have to worry about the dumb shit they're probably doing and why they aren't home when you told them you expected to be home and so you text them but they you worry that they're looking at the phone to read your text when they should be driving and then you think getting one of those tracking apps is probably a good idea but you want to trust your child so you just stay awake until you hear them come in but that isn't the worst because you also worry about all the stuff around college and how tough it is out there and how will they manage to get together a deposit on a decent apartment when they're out on their own and realize they'll be leaving soon and you'll going to miss the little shit.

With three, I'd say this is spot on. Right now, the 4.5 yo is getting better daily. The 10yo drives me to drink, and I adore the teenager, even though I have to get up at the crack of dawn to help him start his day.

My older daughter (6 years) never napped, as in they had to have someone with her during naptime at the daycare because she was the only one who wouldn't nap. She was like that from birth. The younger one naps like a champ. She'll sleep for 1.5 hours in the morning and then about the same or longer in the late afternoon. It's pretty glorious. Both of them are good about going to bed at night. They usually are in bed by 9:00-9:30pm. As babies they would stay up later, but we slowly moved them earlier. So things were very tough when our oldest was a baby with staying up late and the lack of naps, but overall, we've been very lucky. It's one of the few things I feel like we've done well.

My 19-month-old son just ordered "Evil Fem-Dom Lesbians Taking Control" on the TV. My wife got a great picture of him reaching up to confirm the purchase while his twin sister makes the Jim Halpert face

haha

$17.99 -- in this economy? luckily he didn't confirm

this is on the heels of him actually buying the Baywatch movie with the firestick, even though the TV wasn't on. should probably be a little harder to accidentally do...

I don't get how they can get anyone other than toddlers to pay the ppv prices for porn when there's so much free stuff.

I think it's like internet in a hotel. They know business people will buy it and expense it

Can people do that in the private sector? I'm pretty sure my university isn't reimbursing that. (They don't reimburse booze.)

Private sector isn't some monolith, but ifI wanted porn on the road I could charge it to my room and give a general bill to accounting.

My company has negotiated rates with most of he national chains that include internet if the hotel typically charges for it. If I stay at one that we don't have that deal, the company does pay for internet there. We are expected to be connected via vpn on our laptops when traveling so it's required. As for alcohol, we don't have to submit receipts for single charges under 75 but we have a daily meals cap, so as long as you can work your drinks into that equation, you are good, but they would definitely not pay for ppv in a hotel room.

My recently two year old throws everything... which is good in one way cause he's super athletic but not so good when he smashed two tablets this week and keeps throwing things like remotes, phones, and those big 7-11 cups filled with drinks

Have him throw a red hot piece of coal. That should cut down on the overall throwing problem.

Been there. It sucks. They do grow out of it. Now he just pees all around the outside of the toilet.
