there's nothing to investigate because it's all #$!&@ crazy conspiracy stuff from Trump. he read a printed out breitbart or gateway pundit piece and got a tweetin'; the WH went silent for half a day to figure out a way out of it and then the Communications team put that out that they will not comment further on 'reports'.
it's just all #$!&@. i'm going on a mini rant now. if you're a liberal i'd advise that it is best to not follow people like Louise Mensch who are just making people look bad and passing around mindless speculation. don't fall for the liberal side of this #$!&@ storm and focus on the obvious stuff right in front of our face (the lying, the conflicts of interest, the devolving of government, congress doing nothing). the truth is more than enough; we don't need to 'go low' and fall into conspiracy. there's simply too much real #$!&@ out there.
she's a loon. she's horrible.
Can I at least trust Schindler?

However, some members of the audience were upset by Secretary Merrill's speech. Merrill stated that he felt "privileged" to have been invited to the service. He told the audience that the State has been working to create more opportunities for people to obtain photo identification and get registered to vote by going to various sites throughout the state.
"We want to make sure that every eligible U.S. citizen that is a resident of Alabama is registered to vote and has a photo ID so they can participate in the electoral process at they level that they want to participate," Merrill said.
Multiple members of the audience called out in opposition to Merrill's inclusion of having a photo ID to the voting registration process a number of times throughout his speech. At one point, many people stood up and walked out of the church while he was talking. One of the people left, who also spoke during the service, was Dr. Barber.
He said Merrill's comments were disrespectful in the setting, especially considering who was present.
"Standing on this historic ground, where people died for voting rights, we cannot accept this hypocrisy of voter suppression," Dr. Barber said. "Photo ID...voter ID is based on the lie of voter fraud. It was not an issue until African-Americans and brown people started voting during the campaign for President Obama. It's just like the poll tax. It's being proven in court unconstitutional."

yeah it makes no sense. these polls suggest 4 to 5 million people are just changing their minds with such frequency it seems unfathomable.
My theory is that there were several million votes "parked" on Gary Johnson. The more he seemed unqualified, the more it seemed to people like a stupid idea to make a protest vote. So now they've decided to get back in the game and pick between 1 of the 2 that have a chance. And more of those are favoring Trump than Clinton because they were more Republican based to begin with.

The spokesman, Phay Siphan, said that foreign news groups, including the United States-financed Voice of America and Radio Free Asia, should “reconsider” how they broadcast — or risk a government response if their reports are deemed to spread disinformation or threaten peace and stability.
The White House decision to bar several news outlets, including The New York Times, CNN and Politico, from a briefing last week, Mr. Phay Siphan said in a Facebook post on Saturday, “sends a clear message” that Mr. Trump “sees that news broadcast by those media outlets does not reflect the truth, which is the responsibility of professional journalists.”
“Freedom of expression,” he wrote, “is subject to the law and must respect the state’s power.”
Prime Minister Hun Sen echoed Mr. Phay Siphan’s remarks but stopped short of threatening to close problematic news outlets, according to a report in The Phnom Penh Post.
Mr. Hun Sen, who has been in office for 32 years, has relied on brutality and intimidation to stay in power, according to rights groups. Critics say that his government is now using Mr. Trump’s words to justify a crackdown on critical news coverage before two elections, adding that the move could herald a new tactic in efforts to suppress free speech by governments in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Jay R. Raman, a public affairs officer at the United States Embassy in Phnom Penh, referred a request for comment on Mr. Phay Siphan’s Facebook post to the Cambodian government.
“The United States has long supported freedom of the press and considers it to be fundamental to any democracy,” Mr. Raman said.
Cambodia’s main opposition party, the Cambodia National Rescue Party, nearly defeated Mr. Hun Sen’s party, the Cambodian People’s Party, in a 2013 general election. Members of the opposition party are now facing lawsuits and other challenges that critics say are part of an attempt by Mr. Hun Sen to weaken his rivals before local elections this year and a general election in 2018.

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A retired Philippine police officer testified Monday that President Rodrigo Duterte and his men were linked to nearly 200 killings that the officer and a "death squad" carried out when Duterte was mayor of a southern city.
Arturo Lascanas outlined at a Senate inquiry some of the key killings he and others allegedly staged "with the prior knowledge, direct orders, consent, tolerance or acquiescence" of Duterte, who was mayor of Davao city. "What is related here is just the tip of a bloody iceberg," Lascanas said in a statement distributed to senators.
Duterte is also under fire for his more recent national anti-drug crackdown that has left thousands of suspected dealers and users dead since he became president last June.

this could be enough to make a runoff race Fillon v Macron or maybe a compromise candidate; i doubt it though. i think we're in for a ride.
