This guy spent 5 weeks in the hospital and lost 50 pounds (and almost died) after complications from the flu. When he came home, his dog Willie didn't recognize him until he sniffed him

I haven't updated this thread in a while as we moved from Dallas to Center City. Unfortunately our senior (15 yo) was laid to rest a couple weeks before the move, which was for the best. We were planning to bring him but over the final few weeks he had a recurrence of vestibular disease (dizziness) and the meds didn't help. So we found an at-home service to peacefully put him to rest on his favorite bed looking out the window.

So now it's just the 8 year old, Maggie. She was an excellent passenger on the 3-day road trip and put up with a few more days in an AirBnB in Ardmore before we got into the house.

City living is a huge adjustment for her. She loves the squirrels everywhere and frequent attention she gets from people on the streets. But the potty situation has been rough as we have no grass for two full blocks - male dogs have a huge advantage is this area as they can just hoist a leg anyplace. Luckily we have a small patch of mulch/overgrowth in our yard.

I'm sure I'll have updates with questions and complaints. Wish we could still do the puppy fostering but the whole point of that was prepping Texas pups for the trip up north for adoption. Our house is too small now anyway. We'll probably head to Syracuse once in a while to visit/help out the end point of our former foster program.

There was a young pup in the elevator tonight that had just had surgery and appeared to have its bone still sticking out of its front right leg. Good looking black and brown muttish thing, wearing a cone, that appeared to have its bone sticking out of its front right leg. It was pretty gross. For the third time, bone exposed. WTF. Also I thought they just put dogs down when that happened.

The couple with the dog looked like they spent a lot of today crying. Since I have empathy for dogs (but not humans) I drunkenly told them I'd pray for the dog (I don't pray but it sounded good at the time).

So I just learned that when my parents got our dog they knew the general breed info.. I always thought it was a mystery. He's a Brittany/Spaniel/Great Pyreness mix apparently, though I don't see the Pyrenees in him. Maybe if I'm not lazy one day I'll post a picture (he's like 4 and we have had him for 3 years.. I'm just lazy and don't take pictures).

The main reason I ask this, is because I was looking for recommendation for interactive dog toys.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Atari stuff is interactive isn't it?
