@td & @ mickbayne--how are all the old boys doing? Hope they're behaving themselves an not giving you too much trouble.
Lenny's growing like a weed and is pretty much as big as Frida. He's got enormous paws and really long legs. I'm really curious to see how big he gets.
yeah they're doing great. they like to play pretty rough with each other and Brutus will chew/try to eat basically anything (he loves eating bugs) but they're both really sweet and are always very responsive to attention. they've also gotten very used to and fond of the daily homemade cooking in addition to their puppy chow haha. they eat better than me some days. oh and they've started going on walks and they really love them although brutus only just realized that the whole point is to pee/poop (he's only peed once so far since we started walking them about 2 weeks ago)
Awesome! Lenny and Frida play really rough with each other also, like non-stop for 4-5 hours each night but they love it. I'm also pretty sure Frida has no recollection that he's her son at this point and they act much more like siblings. How's Hooch doing with all this? Maggie is still adjusting with both good & bad moments. I think she likes them both individually but together, especially when they're really amped up she could do without and probably longs for the solitude of it just being her. Also, your Mom's amazing, it's incredible that she makes them stew and they're probably earn better than us most days as well. We still really want to come for a visit, sooner rather than later. We'll have to work out logistics and make it happen. It'd be really cool if we could mickbayne and professor griff along as well.
hooch is doing great with them really, the only time we need to separate him is when he gets mini raw hide treats because he can get nasty at times. but not really because if you give him the raw hide treat first he'll just drop it so the pups can get it first
and we'd love to have you guys over of course! just email/text me some dates that work for you guys once you've had some time to figure the logistics out
Count me in for any visit or meetup or whatever. Pretty much any weekend should work.
Griffey's doing great. He's around 26 pounds now. He's also go the big paws and long legs. Vet seems to think he'll end up around 40 pounds, which is right in line with what the original vet said I think.
Done with all his vaccines, and the vet wants to wait until he's six months old to fix him.
He gets along really well with other dogs and most people. My mom stayed with me for a couple weeks this month and brought her three year old springer spaniel, who generally dislikes other dogs. Griff was relentless in trying to get her (the spaniel, not my mom) to play with him, and after a couple days she was having just as much fun as he was.
We're down at the beach right now and he REALLY loves to dig in the sand:
I seriously love that you guys took 3 of the pups. It's fantastic that we get to still have a connection with them via the board.
That video of griff is great. Lenny is also partial to digging holes, It seems to be a common theme throughout the litter. The other thing they all seem to have is temperament/ personality, very loving, playful and almost mischievous. I'm so happy this has all worked out as it has and we'll definitely have to arraigned a reunion
