we originally had his crate in our bedroom. we ended up having to move it out to the living room and then to the spare room because he was whining and my wife would go take him out of the crate and play or console him.

with the next dog i now know exactly what to do from the jump but this was my first as an adult and we didn't have it interact with enough outside people early on. ours is part terrier so it is pretty frisky. bad owners. :( good to hear yours is so much better.

Well on the aggression scale, but really, he's destroyed a window and maybe two (I think I can clean up the second one enough to go unnoticed when I leave the place).

Crate is in the bedroom now...might have to play with that.

after my brother's retired k9 had to be put to sleep after xmas his fiance has been wanting to get another puppy. i kept telling them that they both work too much to get a puppy right now but they finally got one ten days ago. i think she's like 9 weeks old, cute as a button and i still haven't gotten to meet her yet. yesterday she was having some distress and it turns out she has an enlarged heart. they told them she has a year at best but i guess her condition got worse overnight and now it might only be a few more days. :cry:

thanks guys. she was laboring too much today and they made the decision to put her to sleep. told the kids (7 and 9) she passed on her own. feel bad because they were pretty attached to her already. my mom was watching them and they kept asking about her so my mom told them "her little heart just gave out" and the youngest responded "you mean her big heart?" so maybe they'll take it better than i thought.
