What's the medicine? It's possible you could get a generic equivalent from a regular pharmacy for much cheaper.

should update

the last cardiac specialist appointment has shown good improvement with the meds so unless something changes she probably will reach the 2 year end of the spectrum of life expectancy. That would put her around 11/12ish in age (we have no idea what her true age is since she was found wandering around on a hunting reserve), considering her life expectancy is 14-15 years, it's not too bad.

Bomb-sniffing dog shot dead at New Zealand airport after it escapes on airfield, delays flights

A New Zealand airport security dog was fatally shot after he ran onto the airfield — leaving many distraught over his untimely death.

Grizz, a 10-month-old bearded collie mix, was training as a bomb-sniffing dog when he broke free around 4 a.m. Friday at Auckland Airport, according to media reports.

Aviation Security Services tried for three hours to capture the pooch, who was not on the tarmac, according to reports.

Officials added that Grizz’s handler was grief stricken over the shooting.

When I volunteered at the SPCA, I was surprised at the amount of people who came in specifically to adopt old dogs who likely didn't have many years ahead of them. Good folks.
