It's been a loooonnnnngggggggg time since Kasdan put any asses in seats. Like, so long ago the Eagles won since then.

Be fun to see Guillermo Del Toro take a shot. Not sure he'd want to, but it'd be interesting for sure.

I'm not a Star Trek fan, but everybody loved the reboot a few years ago.

Guess it's an okay move.

Looks like it was down to Abrams and Affleck.

Affleck would have been really interesting> But JJ will probably do a great job. Especially b/c he comes from the generation that probably totally hated Lucas for fucking up all the prequels

That's my theory, at least
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I'd be interested in seeing Affleck ply his trade with a space opera-type movie. Wonder how he'd do. He hasnt really failed as of yet.

i've already seen backlash to this because of his mishandling of Star Trek which is baffling because that movie was great

the whole point of that movie was he created an alternate timeline so he isnt messing with 'your' (i.e. older Trekkies) stories, but is instead creating new ones for you and also for a newer generation. sheesh, people. damned if you do, damned if you don't. imagine if he tried to redo actual storylines.

I think it was the style, not the universe. People are really picky about their Star Treks.

I had a cat named Cloverfield

I saw the new Star Trek and thought it didn't make a very strong impression either way. just kinda felt like a big hollywood action movie

ok, well that's an ok dispute, then. if you don't like the style, you don't like the style.

feel like it will work awesome with Star Wars, though. I'm pumped at the crew they're getting together here.
