Like the slot machine player who once won a nice jackpot, he'll pay no notice that he's payed back the house many times over looking for another payoff.

I really can't come up with any good reason to deal Lee rather than Blanton in this scenario . . .

Drabek, Taylor, D'Arnaud, Carrasco, Marson, Knapp, and Donald for Halladay, Francisco, Aumont and some deaf outfielder.

I'm literally sick to my stomach right now thinking about the dynasty that could have been.

Hey, why not wait until you find out the details before you go whining about everything?

For the record, if Moyer retired we would have Cliff Lee right now.

I don't believe this last round of crap at all. According to Stark, Jays suggested Phils contact M's because they had prospect(s) Jays wanted.

There'll be plenty of time to debate, celebrate, whine, etc., when we know the facts. I'm not getting my knickers in a twist over idiot reporters grasping at straws.

OK, guys, let's reset here for a second and look at this semi-logically.

Rube wouldn't trade Drabek or Brown in July when he could have had Halladay for a year and a half.

I find it very hard to believe that he would all of a sudden trade one or both of them along with our playoff MVP, a promising catcher prospect, and whatever else for Halladay just because they're giving us an extension window. If it's that obvious that he's going to sign, take your chances with the whole thing and scrap the whole window thing.

We can call him Tyson "What What" Gilles, and he can run out to his position each inning cupping his ear (in earnest), to either the delight or chagrin of the crowd. Depending on the game situation

The Rangers offered Feliz and Smoak for Josh Johnson. If trading Lee is supposed to be some sort of salary dump, atleast call the Rangers and get some good prospects instead of all these canucks.

But now they are throwing in $6M. I think that's what Rube was waiting for.
