Arbitration clock or no, Boston is trying to hold on to a playoff spot. How can they run Brad Penny out there every fifth day (or worse, Matsuzaka) with someone in their system doing what Bucholz is doing at AAA?


Buchholz has options, Penny doesn't. If they cut Penny loose and someone else gets hurt, then what?

I guess, but it reminds me of when the Phillies had Utley and Howard down in the minor tearing shit up, and didn't call them up when they should have. It's wasting ML production.

This guy actually said he would take Bowa/Trillo over Rollins/Utley. And he also thinks he's a genius because he said the Phillies should have traded Brett Myers for Jonathan Papelbon. :lol:

Our most tradeable prospect is Michael Taylor, but he isn't what the Blue Jays want. We should find a team that will give us a Kyle Drabek type prospect for Taylor, then trade Happ, that player and a B level prospect for Halladay.

He believes the Phils and Angels are the front runners. Says the Angels are trying to sell Wood instead of Weaver. Kind of like what the Phils are doing with their offers.

Good. I would like to think the Phillies remember what it was like to be on the other side (Schilling, Rolen, Abreu) and not act like the team that needs the deal more than the other side. They don't.
