nobody

Chris Brock currently has the bare bones of his career plus this incident on Wikipedia. Although somebody should correct the spelling of "revered".

Wow. What a doofus move by Brock. I thought Brock was a pretty decent pitcher (on that club anyway). No wonder they traded him for John Wasdin. (You mean THE John Wasdin?).
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

I had no idea what decade Chris Brock even played in before clicking on the link. Shows how important an impact he had on me as a Phillies fan. Why would Wade listen to one of the least important members of the team?

Chris Brock later became a Carp. I hadn't known this.

The only thing I remember about Brock was his terrific ability to give up home run balls

I just sponsored his baseball reference page, and made an angry comment about the Harry incident. I wonder if B-R will let it go through.

That's the worst story I ever heard. I hope Chris Brock gets damned to an eternity of getting butt-fucked by the clubhouse janitor for hell's equivalent of the Camden Riversharks.

I hope that is true, because that will confirm my long-held belief that he was one of the biggest douchebags ever to play for the Phillies. I've always hated that guy, even when he was here.

It goes back to the offseason of 2003-2004. Curt Schilling wanted off the D-backs, and demanded a trade to the Phillies. I remember at the time there were rumors that Wade didn't want Schilling back because Wade was a douchebag who didn't personally like Schilling, but that also at the head of that parade was Randy Wolf, who didn't care for Schilling either. So, the two of them conspired not to bring Schilling here. Instead, he went to the Red Sox, who won the World Series.

Would the Phillies have won it with Schilling? Probably not. But the idea that Wolf would whine about bringing back a pitcher who was one of the best of his generation over personal differences, or that Wade would listen to him, really irritated me. And, in general, Wolf was a whiner who was always kind of overrated I thought. Yup, I really strongly dislike him. If this story is true, it only provides further evidence in support of my basic feeling about the man.

I'm sorry we didn't win it all in 93, it seemed like we were gonna ... but I'm over all these people from past failure seasons ... Rolen, THome, Abreu -- I cheered hard for those guys I always like Schill as a player -- but the reality is -- we know the names of the WFC 2008 Phillies... and hopefully a repeat in 09, what better way to honor HK's memory?!

I sort of remember the Schilling coming back thing, but Wade and/or Montgomery didn't want anything to do with him coming back. I've never heard the Randy Wolf angle on it. I always thought if people disliked Wolf it was because he wanted to sign with west coast teams rather than the Phillies the past several seasons.

I've never heard the Wolf thing either, but it wouldn't turn me against him if it turned out to be true. Reality is almost every player or front-office guy ever to deal with Schilling hates the guy.

I listened to an interview with Darren Daulton, and he said they all called him "Top Step Schill" because whenever they were batting he would be in the clubhouse eating. Then when someone hit a homerun he would run out to the top step of the dugout to congratulate the person and his picture would end up on the front page of the paper

I remember Schilling being such a team player he'd wrap his head up in that towel rather than suffer with the rest of us. I liked the way Schilling pitch as much as the next guy, but he is an arse.

As to Wolf, as long as his brother like the Phils, I'm good.
