Was Harry's wife in attendance? I don't think I saw her on the broadcast.

She was not.

Just curious, how old is Eileen Kalas? Kane seems kind of young for 73 year old... I am guessing his wife was a lot younger?

Knew him for 25 years, married for 20, and Kane is 19....and here's a pic from 6 years ago at the Vet:

....so she's probably mid to late 40s? early 50s?

"video" dan fixed Harry's "acts of herrorism" from 2001 for the final tribute video.

Today was the first game I watched without Harry, having been out of vacation/out of market since last Monday.

I am deeply reminded of what we all have lost.

Agreed. McCarthy just makes me ill. He gets too damn exicted when the other team starts doing well. May as well listen to Joe Buck. Wheeler is Wheeler... But TSmac just makes the game unlistenable, and I dont have a radio in the room. Guess I could go 9 innings without sound.

During the LHV-Pawtucket Sox radio broadcast, they are talking about how Harry did a recording for an upcoming wedding over the offseason. Harry said he would be honored to record their wedding intros and refused to take any money for the tape, but said he'd appreciate a contribution to the Phillies charities.

I was at last night's game and they did not play High Hopes during the stretch, but it play it almost immediately after the win, so hopefully it is the new victory song at games.

Kalas calls Springsteen grand slam, one last time (Philly.com)

And, according to this account, Bruce even threw in a "Hard to believe, Harry!"

I had been looking for the Harry Kalas Superpretzel commercial with no luck, but then found it on The Fightins blog. Not sure how it works as a tribute, but it's good to see Harry again:

Wasn't the father in that commercial on Flight of the Concords? I think he was one of the guys (John, played by Lenny Venito) from season one episode "Mugged" who robbed the FotC of their camera phone. Later, he befriended Jemaine in prison.
