On Button's rankings we got the #16 (Foerster), #64 (Andrae), #71 (Wisdom) and #92 (McClennon) ranked guys. Desnoyers was not ranked.

Favorite pick: Zayde Wisdom, No. 94 overall

Philadelphia got a pretty solid scorer in Tyson Foerster with its first pick, which pads a system that graduated Joel Farabee and soon will do the same with Morgan Frost. Foerster can change his release and has a great shot off the pass. The Flyers took a chance on an undersized but offensively gifted defenseman in Emil Andrae, who went at a very reasonable 54th overall. He is 5-foot-9, but his offensive ability provides upside.

One pick that I think a lot of people were cheering for was Zayde Wisdom, who has overcome a number of obstacles to become a legitimate NHL prospect. He played big minutes with Kingston in the OHL and plays the game hard; he's a Philly kind of guy. Lastly, the Flyers picked up Connor McClennon, my No. 75 prospect, late. He flashes hand skills, good vision and sharp offensive instincts. This wasn't a franchise-changing draft by any means, but it was productive.

Every single pick that the Philadelphia Flyers made in the 2020 NHL Draft was more-or-less reasonable. That’s the bar, and they cleared it. I’m not terribly keen on Tyson Foerster at No. 23 overall, mostly because of concerns about his skating, but it’s a worthwhile investment on a player with a fantastic shot.

I’m not on board with Emil Andrae’s game. Not one bit. I don’t see it. He’s a favourite of Draft Twitter ™️, so there’s that. How many small defenceman with below average skating, poor defensive habits, and hands as their best offensive skill make the NHL? Not many, and that’s why I’m lower than most on Andrae.

Zayde Wisdom, Connor McClennon, and Elliot Desnoyers are all awesome bets on players with different sets of NHL projectable skills. We’re really high on Desnoyers, relative to the rest of the industry, because of his work ethic and proven ability to play a complementary role well with highly-skilled players. He’s got some Zach Hyman in him.

I do not have a subscription but they graded the Flyers' draft as a C.

Free agency starts today, right? I wasn't expecting much for the Flyers but maybe the Niskinen retirement changes that.

Per the Flyers, Patrick falls under the 10.2 (c) classification where he's a RFA in terms of requiring a qualifying offer but is ineligible for an offer sheet. This is due to him not genuinely having 3 seasons of pro hockey. Flyers hold his exclusive negotiating rights.

So Patrick can't go anywhere unless he's traded
