I mean I guess you’re gambling here with some guys who are at the end of their deals to stop the bleeding but we’re gonna be 9-13 after tonight if we lose. Funny to complain about the pen and beg for change and then the change comes and I’m sitting here wondering if it’s worth it.
I mean unless you thought the 10th time was the charm for Pivetta I don't really see the downside. If he has potential the Phillies weren't getting it out of him. That in itself may be an organizational failure but we're sort of past that.

Like I said earlier I'd rather just give Russ a shot than trade him for Hale.

That's at least approaching an MLB pen?
Was this so hard?

Among the obstacles teams will face in making deals before the Aug. 31 deadline, money will be one of the biggest. The Phillies were down on Pivetta and probably could not wait to move him. But they should have been in a strong enough financial position to avoid effectively selling Seabold, whom MLB Pipeline ranks as its No. 23 prospect, for $815,000.

Will admit last night I confused Brogdon and Seabold (I will blame my white hot Sixers rage), there’s probably a little more potential downside here. But I dunno, they made their bed going with this bullpen. Hopefully these guys are Turk wendells
