The Brewers won 89 games last year and made the playoffs. With a few moves, good health, better coaching, the Phillies could hit that and get into the playoffs where anything is possible. Of course, that's a huge amount of question marks, and I wouldn't expect it, but then again, I wouldn't expect them to give up 16% of the Marlins total wins.

nice job getting this done before the ws ends. still time before fa season starts to involve the new manager in choosing a new pitching coach who also appeals to g cole, assuming there is somehow like that out there somewhere. (is there?)

Can't say a Kawhi comparison didn't cross my mind earlier, as in Rendon bails if the Nats win because he got the championship and maybe feels less like he needs to stick around because of unfinished business or whatever.

On another note, Steaks threw out Hensley Meulens as a possible hitting coach candidate if he doesn't get the manager spot with the Giants.
