came across this on twitter. was only 49.

Will Brunson of New Braunfels, TX passed away 11/23/19 from a heart attack while hiking in Big Bend National Park with friends. Will leaves behind his wife Dana, son Travis (Sophomore @ Texas A&M), and daughter Ella (Junior @ New Braunfels HS). Will was the South Texas Regional Scout for the Philadelphia Phillies.

- Phillies are making swift work to improve depth, which was a big issue in 2019.

- Phils FO is actively looking for upgrades.

- Players WANT to come to Philly. Harrison had five separate offers on the table.

So many things to be thankful for this year! My wife, my son, Krew, my family, my friends and my health. But one other thing that I am really thankful for is being able to put on that @phillies uniform with my incredible teammates and staff in front of the greatest fans and in the greatest city in the world each and every day! I can sincerely say this has been the happiest year of my life of my career, mentally and physically, because I found a home and a family in Philadelphia that has blown away my expectations. So for that THANK YOU and Happy Thanksgiving! #thankful

File this under "what's he supposed to say" i guess.

Not really encouraging if this was the happiest season of his career or whatever. It was disappointing on almost every level.

Also, glad he likes it in Philly but it's not like DC was East Berlin. He sounds like Werth now, which is kinda douchy.

Of coure, if you regard this past season as "disappointing on almost every level," I guess I getcha.


Harper had a good season on a team in contention that had some great moments. Certainly disappointing on SOME levels, I guess.
