That tourney was pretty good, it was interesting to see how many times the 'worst' hand won. There's so much luck involved in even a 1 table tourney that it seems that the way those tourneys break out that one may as well gamble early on and build a stack so that one can go in with 'other people's' money when the blinds start to escalate.
That was my mentality this tourney, anyway. If you look at the results, they bear out. Duane(sp.?) lost with KK to 88 or something but had no chips to deal with the blow, whereas I lost 88 to 77 and still had 45K behind me when that happened.

Any chip advantage is a good thing, and basically freerolling for someone's stack can end up putting you in a good spot to get in the top 2.
