Ive been trying to teach David some basic poker skills, at least he's not a complete donk now, but he still needs to learn to fold some hands, especially preflop. I actually thought he played the 2 pair HU alright except that he saved you money by going all in at the end.

Dave played HU pretty well, but he loses way too much money trying to C/R rivers. I almost just checked behind on that river, but I felt I could make a thin value bet there.

And you're welcome, btw, I hope you enjoyed watching me treat Eric like a bitch after you busted :-D

what happened? give me some hand history guys, I left to go to Center City(had fun). I couldn't get in a hand with Eric.

Tom played pretty solid, but he always seems to think he's beat. He flat-called a set of 10s on the river for 4k(pot at 7200 after I bet 4k) at 100/200 with the board at q63 10 7 rainbow. If I had two pair there, he might've gotten me to call a raise. As it was, I had j4 or some crap and was just trying to take the flop, but should've gone with my first instinct to raise his small raise on the flop.

Still, that was mighty weak IMO.

Oh, and I couldn't believe when Joe showed his pocket jacks for an overpair to the board when I went allin with j10. Floored me.

see? Your rock like image does have an impact on some players- just know that my brother will chase every draw

Dan was just doing some nice moves on Eric, nothing in particular strikes me, but he did a good job at taking pots away from him in the right spots.

Last night had the best line on any HSP-

After Phil was making yet another insurance deal on his hand busting, Daniel Negraneau says-

"What is it about money that you hate, Phil?"

basically, eric just got super tight after brian was knocked out, but he kept limping into pots anyway, and i raised every time he did that. i also raised his blind a few times too from MP. i chipped up from ~90k to ~140k without a significant showdown basically just by stealing eric's chips.

I knew exactly what you were doing the whole time too, Eric is so bad in such a predictable way, it's amazing he finishes as high as he does. His short stack play is horrible but he always seems to luck his way back into the game.

that was a goddamn juicy "final group" anyway though...dave, joe, tom, and eric playing like his cards were face up. i would have been really bothered if i didn't finish well in that group.

Haha........just watching CNN and a commercial comes on for a med called Mirapex. They state that gambling addiction can be a side effect taking the medication (increased shopping habits is also listed). I never realized that increased compulsive gambling habits could be a side effect from taking medication :P

Well, you could see how frustrated Deeb seemed with John Hanson and Bruno Fitoussi. Dude was just above their level(and it helped that hte deck hit in the face towards the end)

going to be in San Diego for a trade show next week- I think I'll be stopping by Ocean's 11 poker room 1 or 2 nights while Im there, unless someone else has a better suggestion. ( I like 1/2 NLHE, or 40-75 dollar tourneys)
