Bottom line you don't want a creep in that meeting.

And that's Collar's rep now, if it wasn't already.

Lebron is a bit of a goof but he made fun of Collars. to me that's the death knell. end the investigation and fire the dude.

if we're going to have someone tweeting stupid crap on this team let it be LeBron, not the GM or his wife

I think this is def the case and I dont know why its been an ignored angle for this long. Jerry's not going to work with guys who fire his son (yet another reason he shouldnt have been hired in the first place), so Harris loses his sounding board or whatever.

Not a reason not to act, but def something that needs consideration.

I hope Harris realizes that getting rid od these two will buy him alot of credibility with fans and the media. Standing up to the Colangelo cartel in a situation like this SHOULD be seen as actual leadership.

Dude probably has inside information that he feeds to Harris to make money outside of basketball.

Yeah...my impression of Jerry is a completely absent consultant getting a check for doing nothing (or close to nothing) because the league made us do it.

And Jerry was put in by the the league I.e. 29 other billionaires many of which have known Jerry for decades.

Playing a role in embarrassing the colangelos like this will likely make some enemies around the league.

Of course this is only happening because of the heavy hand the league put on the team in the first place but that's sort of where we are.

Harris might also just like having a former owner/league OG as a sounding board.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

You can never have enough connections in the business world. I doubt he has an unlimited open line to Trump at this point.

To me Harris would keep a guy close to him that he can sound off on but also someone who is providing something for him ($$$). Really think all the ownership cares about is money.

I take your point but think you're going way too far with it. Letting your billion-dollar business become a laughingstock is suboptimal

Jerry Colangelo is 78. Anyone worried about their earnings post-Jerry has more than just "he might walk away" to worry about.

Williams has more playing experience than Collar, and Brown as much or more. Not sure about Eversley. I'll take my chances.

Eversley is 6'8", I think... WAG is that he played somewhere.

Looks like even if Colllangelo keeps his job, Brett Brown will be the "front-guy" when it comes to free agents...he is well respected by players around the league...

Monty Williams also has great relationships with star players..

Lebron and Paul George still top priorities.
