I am curious how long the ringer, I mean Simmons, was sitting on this story. You got to give him props for the timing.

I don't know if anyone there actually has credentials or access to the sixers, but if I were ownership, they would be gone. It would not be because of the discovery but rather the timing which I find to be malicious.

Are they going to fire him on the day of a finals game?

I actually would if the goal is to take as little away from the finals as possible. The firing wouldn't leapfrog game 3 the next morning in the headlines etc. It's going to get discussed no matter what. But if these two things are competing for big story of the day, the firing would be "page 2". You fire him on an off day and it's all they'll talk about to fill time/space until the next game starts.
"I would have liked to have had that chance. Just once. To stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down, and just as he goes into his windup, wink."

John Barchard @JohnBarchard
Per @jonjohnsonwip now on WIP, the Sixers are holding out hope that Bryan can continue as GM. Unreal. Also says the Jerry is using as much power as he has

Kinda assuming “sixers” and “jerry” are same person in this leak.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

They didn’t leak all that super negative stuff to Woj to then abruptly flip the narrative with local Jon Johnson

How does the guys fucking Dad get to have a say in this sort of thing.

Also, I would bet a lot of money BC wrote a lot of those tweets and that the law firm strongly suspects or knows that. If it was all his wife she should star in Split 2

I won't ever trust Josh Harris/Scott O'Neill to do the right thing.

To me at this point the legal ramifications and everything are clear for them to fire him, now it is just if the ownership is smart enough to act. They are probably too lazy to go through a replacement search so they will just keep him.

I don't understand why they would want to keep him. He's not like some great GM or anything, seems like he would be pretty replaceable by pretty much any other retread GM. So why go through the public ridicule and question of retaining him? Figure out the best way to cut bait and move on.

Like I said they seem to be pretty lazy and didn't go through a lot of interviews to find him, plus Jerry is probably doing everything he can to save his boy.

There's zero upside to retaining him from any standpoint.
