In terms of the "what is taking so long", maybe the decision to fire has already been made and this extra time is to finish putting together the "day after" plan? I mean with the draft two weeks away and free agency starting soon thereafter, it probably isn't a good idea to fire your GM without having a path forward ready to go.

So why go through the public ridicule and question of retaining him? Figure out the best way to cut bait and move on.

I've said this before, but BC and daddy obviously were willing and able to wield enough power to get the job in the first place, despite the horrible appearances of it. Here again we have the horrible appearance and of course they are trying to keep him there. Their willingness to push against public opinion to suit their ends hasn't changed. And it appears they still have a good bit of power.

I wasn't really saying that -- rather, if you're gonna keep the guy, why not intimate that? As opposed to shocking everyone today or whenever

I think part of it is they need to prove they are taking this seriously rather than come off as rubber stamping him in staying. Either way it is going to be a shit show if he stays.

Would he really be watching workouts if he was fired already? I think they would tell him to take a vacation.

I can't believe this. I don't want this guy to succeed.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

I don't get how any player could ever trust him.

Fair point but maybe they just don't want to tip their hand yet. I would imagine he wasn't the only decision-maker watching the workouts.

If he stays I bet they don't even do a press conference. As part of the deal the NBA agrees that he never has to do press availability again.

The sad thing is these burner accounts have provided more information about the team then he has over the years.

Imagine deciding that literally the most important part of your billion dollar sports franchise is retaining the judgment of Bryan Colangelo

Even if they keep him, the flames will never be extinguished. Philly fans are so self indulgent but in this case, burn baby burn
