I don't know. Do they really need another shooter? I thought they had enough guys who could shoot, they just didn't execute as well against the Celts. To me, the problem is more not having enough players who could create a shot off the dribble. That's why TJ seemed to change the game when he came in. They had to scramble to cover him when he broke free and then their defense broke down. It would REALLY help if Fultz makes the jump next year. Either way, I want a guy who can create a bit when the other team is playing good defense.

As for finishing, at one point earlier in the year Saric said something about them getting the killer instinct and being able to finish teams. Not long after that, we started burying teams late in games. So I think they improved in that specific area a great deal in the second half and I'd like to think they'll keep improving. Give me continued improvement in that area and another creator and I'm pretty happy.

But didn't we have a bunch of supposed shooters this year? The only guy who seemed to make an actual difference we TJ. A good defensive team will smother shooters. I'd prefer a guy who can break the defense down and find a shot for himself or someone else. I'm not saying we don't need people who can shoot, but it feels like we have those or they are easily attainable.

But as I said before, I'm not a big BBall person

nah, they definitely need someone that can dribble, drive and hit a pull up jumper. they have 3 guys on the team right now that can handle the ball. ideally you'd have a min 4(2 for each rotation). Its why i'm really into the idea of Miles Bridges or Troy Brown.

Boston beat us because their shooters also play pretty decent on defense, especially in Stevens' team concept, and we missed more open shots than they did. According to Bodner, one of the more sophisticated sites that looks at each shot attempted, who attempted it, how closely they were guarded, and how quickly it was released and uses that info to project shooting percentage and final score had us winning all five games, two in blowouts. So we shot poorly even given how we were defended.

I think it was game 1 but didn't we have a night where we shot at near historically bad rates on open threes?

Doesn't Troy Brown not have a jump shot? How many of those guys can we have on one team?

Yeah Brown would be a terrible fit imo.

how is he a bad fit? the 29 from 3? he was a freshman who shot 74% from the line and often took ill advised shots. have you watched him play and seen his shot? he has good form. he can score from all three levels and is long and athletic. he was only a FRESHMAN. i like mikal bridges, but guess what he shot from three his freshman year? freshman bridges vs. freshman brown. brown>bridges
