Fix the last minute of each half and it goes to game 6 or longer. They just had trouble finishing against the Celts. Some of that is Celtics play, but I also think the Celtics are in our heads a bit.

It's tough because while the games were close and came down to one or two plays, it kept happening. And would have kept happening IMO if the series were 14 games or whatever.

But Simmons and Embiid still have so much room to grow, not to mention another star

It kept happening because late game execution isn't something that you just get better at overnight. Hopefully our guys improve to the point that they are good at it and the Celtics don't go from great at it to otherworldly.

Really need someone to get the ball to in the last 10 seconds on an inbound and isolate them and have them get a shot. I guess they have tried that with Embiid but that really isn't the best, and obviously Ben isn't the answer in that role.

Embiid is good on those when he is down in the post but I never understood why they were thowing him the ball at the 3 point line in some of those situations

You do realize that embiid has about 100 NBA games under his belt and Simmons about 90. Call me crazy, but they might have the ability to improve their respective games just a tad bit.

And Jaylen Brown might start dating a Kardashian.

Mostly just responding to Spike here but the amount of fatalism going on about the next decade of this rivalry because of one series is a little much.

I'd rather run less of the offense through him at the top of the key and more in the post. Sure he can improve that but he can be absolutely dominate in the post if he improves there instead. Let someone else do the heavy lifting at the end outside the key.

Considering how well some of the Celtics are playing in this years playoffs and how well they are functioning as a team I can’t see how kyrie and heyward make them much better than they are now

Only Boston’s players are young inexperienced and have lots of growth!

Simmons and Embiid on the other hand...

Fuck Boston. Hope Tatum is as good and engaged as 4th option next year!
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

saw a 7+ footer in wawa today. don't think it was joell. was with a short bald white guy. Are there any 7+ HS'ers in the area?

And yes, some idiots made jokes about his height. "I'm getting dizzy just looking up at you". Wow, I'm sure he needs it pointed out how tall he is!

Dunc'd On guys did Sixers offseason preview; Duncan didn't seem too enthused about Lebron on the team but Leroux thought it'd be good but you'd have to move a lot of personnel around. Bolden is probably here to stay but they thought Korkmaz/TLC could be gone if they need space. Holmes could be cut. They were discussing a 1 and 1 deal with Redick.
They didn't really discuss much about Kawhi.
they mentioned a lot of mid-level guys then, like Luc Mbah a Moute and such. They say we need shooting and a backup center. Sounds about right.

Then they discussed the 10th pick and the odds the sixers could get the Kings #1 pick next year.

They don't think Anderson will get much of an extension offer past next year; maybe TJ does if there's more info about Fultz not developing.

It really does feel like Holmes is gone; he's just the odd man out and so easily cut if we need a roster spot.

It's hard to believe Kawhi would turn down a super max to leave the Spurs in a trade, so I am thinking he stays.

On a dumber note Bill Simmons went back and forth between saying how badly Lebron would fit here and how much the possibility scares him as a Celtics fan. He and Zach Lowe both thought McCollum would be nice here but thought a deal would require a third team. They both love Kawhi here but don't think he'll be traded.

Do you think Embiid and Simmons are on the team next year was my favorite
