With the Suns and Kings getting lotto luck, will the Lakers even have a top 5 young core in the NBA? Top 10, maybe? If any of these top guys go there this summer it won't be for basketball reasons.

Exactly.

It's the one thing he hasn't done. Houston is a Miami-redux and he will take a hit for that. The Lakers are far worse off than the Sixers and play in the west. Cleveland's supporting cast is a mess.

Sixers are the perfect fit. God I want this to happen.

Not sure how good the mocks are, definitely better than NBA but there are always some big surprises.

Issue is first round picks count against the cap until they agree to not play in the NBA that year. Whereas I believe 2nd round picks basically don't count until they sign.

They need to take an honest look at whether, Holmes, JA, TLC and Furk are going to contribute next year. If not they need to be shipped rather than wasting space like what happened with stauskas and Okafor.

Trade charts in the NBA don't really work because there's so much more variance year to year than football. Some drafts people think there are 2 awesome guys other years there are 10.

Kevin Pelton's trade chart actually has the deal favoring Dallas without the 2nd rounders.

#5 is 2240 points, while 10 (1720) and 26 (660) add up to 2380.

I'm not in love with the trade value charts in the NBA though either, especially not at the top of the draft, although admittedly, the late lottery is where I think they start to get a bit more accurate given the lower odds of finding an impact star player.
