Paul George and LeBron James. They should be the focus areas. Two year run then both off to LA.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

You could also argue that because of Embiid's health concerns, you don't know how long his prime is and we should go for it now while he's healthy

Miles Bridges and Troy Brown might fit us really well

At the aquarium I learned that Saric's social media handle -- Megalodon20 -- refers to an extinct big-tooth shark. Let's please dispense with Homie and Shi Shi

Some good takes on RTRS about where we are in comparison to Boston. Need another guy

Who knows what Hayward and Kyrie will be like after their injuries, but if they are as good as they were I am not sure adding another guy gets us close to them. Hate to say it but they handled us and are adding two all stars plus they have just as many young guys.

Now if we can add LeBron and keep the core intact then that is a different story.

That was the best part of the debate imo. I think Mike is right that those guys in this particular year would not have been a net gain over what the Celtics threw at our match ups, Spike that they are obviously going to be glad to add them next year.

You're glad to add those guys, but sometimes elite players don't make the team product better. If Hayward and Irving play instead of, say, Smart and Tatum, they lose a whole lot on defense...and losing just a little bit on defense opens up a whole lot for *everyone* on the other team, not just the guys Irving and Hayward are playing, because of the rotations that are forced. And a ball-dominant offensive player like Irving changes the entire flow of the offense. It could be better, but it's not guaranteed to be. Watching last night, it showed how bad the Celtics can be on offense even against one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. I don't think we have that much ground to make up.

Honestly, the biggest effect of big-name players may be to affect the way the game is called, not so much to change the performance level of the players.

"Handled us" is a bit much. Lost 3 games by 10 points.

Kyrie defensively is not good, so I thought that was a good take from Mike. Playoff Rozier probably equaled Kyrie when factoring in both ends of the court.

Good news is that Boston probably isn't adding anybody this offseason where we will add the 10th pick, Bolden and potentially PG or LeBron. They are ahead of us but they aren't light years ahead. Embiid's mask was messing with him and this is a wake up call for Simmons wrt needing a jumper

You could see how adding Embiid changed our ball movement once he was back. He definitely helped interior defense and rebounding, but having him in there hurt in some areas. Not sure what the net was.

Embiid also couldn't see, though, so wasn't nearly the offensive weapon he can typically be.

If you include regular season I believe they were 7-2 against the Sixers this year. Sure some games were close, especially in the playoffs.

I know Boston looks better now, but didnt most people have the Sixers winning 40 games this year? Their over under of 41 was nationally ridiculed.

I don't think the next decade of NBA basketball is as predictable as some may think.

Well if Klay Thompson decides to stay cheap in GS I think the Warriors probably win the next 3 titles.

Embiid's health is the big X Factor, how many healthy seasons can he give the team.

Do you remember these games? All were close.
The home opener was the officiating nightmare.
London/Bent rim game

If they had gone 7-2 with a bunch of blowouts, I'd be more concerned.

If that warriors hypo happens there's pretty much nothing left but wait for them to age.

would be a pretty big disaster for silver.
