The Astros pitching must be mind-bending. The Phillies have allowed the second most runs in baseball, at 174.

The Astros have allowed 48 runs fewer that that over 50 games (three more than our heroes by the way).

Over a full season that would mean they would allow 155 runs fewer than the next closest team, without adjusting league totals to reflect that the Astros have played more games than all the other nearest teams.

On Bartolo's birthday, I'm happy to remember that he cost the Expos & Nats a mide 2000's core that would have included Cliff Lee, Brandon Philips and a healthy Grady Sizemore. Although in hindsight, they maybe don't end up with Strasburg and Harper. Don't play with the past, I suppose.

I miss the Montreal Expos. They were much cooler than the lame Washington Nationals with their dated branding. Everything about the Nats, including their TV broadcast, screams late-1980's tackiness.

And Montreal is a much better city

Under Armour originally won the contract but had to back out due to financial issues (there was speculation the deal would put them under).

Great news IMO. Nike is more expensive but great swag. They now have MLB, NBA and NFL.
