I think it’s a weird combination of awful and drab.

I like all of them except the black ones (that's racist).

I also liked the Orlando magic jerseys from the other night.

I don't understand why they can't just embrace teal and orange. Red makes no sense for them and red is already used by everybody

The black jerseys look just like the black Mets ones.

I hear all of this talk out there about how baseball is boring now and it is hard to watch a nine inning game. Hard for me to really know as I was much too busy this year, and even when I am home I have a three and a half year old which means I don't get to watch anything that takes two hours at a sitting to sit through, much less three, be it baseball or anything else.

But I had the thought the other day that baseball at the moment does to an extent feel like the entire sport is aligning itself to answer the question: what if every hitter were Dave Kingman and every pitcher were Nolan Ryan?

And yeah, that is boring.

Manfred, and in turn, the media, make a big deal about attendance being down, and relate it to length of games/pace of play. And yet, TV ratings are up, at the local level, for many teams. This indicates that people are CONSUMING baseball, they're just doing it from the comforts of their own homes, rather than at the stadiums. And due to this, regional sports networks are handing out huge rights contracts, leading to increased revenues overall for the industry. And yet, the powers that be dwell on the negatives(attendance and pace of play).

It's not the overall time that bothers me, but the pace of play. I'm all for rules that would limit relief pitching switches. Would speed things up without taking anything away from the overall strategy of the game.

The point was, people are still watching baseball, revenues are still going up. If they keep dwelling on the negatives, though, their negativity will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Still they have the oldest average viewers of all the major sports, which can cause problems in future years.

I hate the idea of limiting pitching changes. Give me a pitch clock and eliminate excessive batter "routines".

I like the idea of saying they have to face X batters or record an out or give up a hit or whatever the qualifications would be. Wouldn't take away strategy from the game would mean you have to plan ahead and we'd probably lose the super specialists which fine by me.
