I guess Kendrick is going on the DL probably before tomorrow night... is this finally Nick Williams shot? Article also mentioned possibly Cozens...

I'd guess it'll be eickhoff. If they do bring up Williams he needs to be in there every day. Cozens I think needs the whole year in Lehigh.

I thought I saw somewhere Eickhoff listed to start Tuesday night vs PITT but that could change I guess ... no harm in moving Nava back to the bench and going with Altherr, Herrera, Williams for a while

Tough call between Williams and Cozens. Williams has a slight edge with OPS, but he has fewer tader (-3), and far fewer walks (-14). I guess WIlliams should be given the chance to show he is real.

Side note, I am really impressed that Hoskins leads the team in all offensive counting metrics including 44 walks (R - 56, H - 83, 2B-19, 3B-4, HR-18, RBI- 62, TB-164). The tie with Cozens at 18 round trippers is no surprise.

I have to go Williams. The reasons are clearly not the reasons you want to call someone up with too. He's got over 800 plate appearances in AAA, he's done OK, I haven't heard much about his concentration issues this year, I think this is just the player he is and it's time to see if it translates and there is so little room for error. (He has walked 7 times in the last 8 games and shown a little more pop, those are the +s). Cozens I think has got to find the sweet spot as hitter somewhere in between his seasons at Clearwater and reading. I also would like to see him get a little action in at first, hopefully when Hoskins gets called up.
