I think they don't want want to play for him so you might be right.

I am just amazed that has been allowed to turn into this. I don't care about losses at this point. It's just upsetting all around.

Don't know why people continue to be worried about the 40 man roster in regards to a team could lose over 100 games.

i do enjoy the divide on herrera. some want him held accountable by being sent to lehigh. others want him to refuse to play another game over being held accountable with a nominal fine. your 2017 phillies!

I'd be OK if Pete Mackanin, his dead Mom, Odubel Herrera, his hopefully living Mom, and Cameron Rupp/Perkins all go to the Padres

Hererra is frustrating, but he's certainly good enough to be part of the next playoff team. It may make sense to trade him if we have too many OFers, but I don't think he needs to get shipped to AAA or anything like that. My concern is that Pete seems to have lost this team, including Hererra, probably because they are playing so badly and he's been so tough on them in the media. Or maybe some other reason. Regardless, I think we need another voice in the locker room. If Hererra continues to be so inconsistent with his effort (and his brain) under another manager, then I might consider some harsher penalty or just trading him.

Herrera is so frustrating because I think we saw at the beginning part of last season what type of player he is capable of being when he has the right approach at the plate (just like Knapp, Bucky!). Not that I would expect him to be a .430 OBP guy or whatever he was at the time, but he can get on base near .400 if he goes back to what was working for him. I don't think it was a lucky fluke then, he just seemed to abandon what he was doing for who knows why.
